How to install Chrome OS in USB

  • Gooogle chrome OS is a googles OS it can be installed in a pendrive.We can directly boot through pen drive.After booting goggle asks its user name and password and we need to select from where we have to access the internet.After selecting the internet connection we have to login with Google account. Then we directly enters into the Chrome browser home page.It uses USB as a booting device. So you can use internet even if your hdd is not working . One thing is that the USB using for this cannot be used for any other proposes. And also it require a 4 GB pen drive.

    Let us look how to install it in pen drive


    1. You need to download the google Chrome OS

    Download the Chromium OS Torrent for USB Drive

    You will find a zip file along with the disk image in torrent. A free and open source Windows Image Writer tool is also packed with it for mounting the image onto your USB drive.

    Steps of Installing Chromium OS to your USB Drive

    • Unzip chrome_os_usb.zip, and launch Win32DiskImager.exe.
    • If floppy drive is not present you will see a warning like below as you want to start up Image Writer

    • Does your Image Writer runs smoothly? than click the folder icon, select the chrome_os.img file (catch from where you extracted the zip file and start up Win32DiskImager.exe).

    • Connect your auto run enabled USB drive to computer system and give time to your PC to couplet its internal processing.
    • Close pop up if appears
    • Click on the Device dropdown
    • Choose drive that fits to your USB drive
    • Then, click Write and the program gets all set to go to write the disk image to USB device.

    Steps of Boot Up Chromium OS

    • Now, you can boot up Chromium OS
    • You are allowed to leave the USB drive in pc and reboot it
    • When pc starts booting, hit the boot menu key
    • Choose USB drive from the menu
